General information


  • Castle Sieges are part of the PvP content for clans in Lineage 2 Essence. Owning a castle brings a number of advantages to the clan
  • Giran, Dion and Goddard castle sieges available
  • A clan can only own one castle
  • Sieges take place every week on Sunday from 20:00 to 21:00, preparation for the siege: Sunday from 18:00 to 20:00
    • Clans can apply for participation in the siege of several castles, but after an intermediate victory in one castle, registration in the siege of another castle will be canceled.
    • Mercenaries can only register for one siege
    • Clans from Big War cannot apply for Dion
  • Clan and non-clan characters can take part in the siege
  • The winner is the clan whose leader has collected the most tenure points. The head of the clan that owns the castle can set a tax from 0 to 5%


Siege times


  • The siege consists of two stages: preparation for the siege, during which registration for the siege takes place, and the siege itself
    • During the preparation for the siege and during the siege, a timer is displayed next to the map, showing the remaining time of the stage
  • Siege and defense registration and mercenary recruitment are available during siege preparation
    • The siege/defense registration and mercenary recruitment/mercenary functions are available through the siege information window, which opens when you click on the siege icon that appears during the preparation for the siege
    • Through the siege information window during a siege, you can teleport to the left/center/right side of the castle for free
  • Clans of level 3 and above can sign up for siege and defense
  • There is no experience reduction penalty when dying in a combat zone
  • When an unregistered clan dies in the war zone, a penalty is imposed (level 1: -30% to all stats, lvl 2: -50% to all stats, lvl 3: -90% to all stats, the penalty lasts 5 minutes and refreshes at death)
  • When siege members die, except for members of the clan defending the castle, it is possible to resurrect in a special resurrection zone


Participate in the siege


  • In order to take part in the siege on the attacking side, on the defending side of the castle, or as a mercenary, you must register during the preparation for the siege
    • It is possible to be present in the combat zone during the siege without registering (but upon death you get a penalty to experience and characteristics)

Registering attackers

  • Clans of level 3 and above can register to siege as the attacking side
  • One clan can only be registered on two of the three castles
  • To register, you must sign up for the siege during the preparation for the siege
  • If the attacking clan wants to hire mercenaries, they must announce the recruitment in the siege information window using the "Recruit Mercenaries" button
    • You cannot recruit mercenaries if the clan has not registered for the siege as a participant (attack or defense) or has not declared a recruitment of mercenaries
  • The clan cannot refuse a person who wants to become a mercenary, and if there is an application from those who wish, they cannot cancel the registration for the siege / defense of the castle

Registration of defenders

  • Clans of level 3 and above can register for sieges as defenders
  • One clan can only be registered on two of the three castles
  • To register, you must sign up for the siege during the preparation for the siege
  • The clan that owns the castle is automatically registered to defend it, other clans are registered to defend the castle during the preparation for the siege
  • If a defender clan wants to hire mercenaries, they must announce the recruitment in the siege information window using the "Recruit Mercenaries" button
    • You cannot recruit mercenaries if the clan has not registered for the siege as a participant (attack or defense) or has not declared a recruitment of mercenaries

Registration of mercenaries

  • It is possible to register as a mercenary even if the character is not a member of a clan
  • Registering mercenaries requires clans to register as defenders or attackers and announce the recruitment of mercenaries
  • After the mercenary recruitment is announced, the character can choose the clan he wants to join as a mercenary during the siege. To do this, click on the "List of mercenaries" button in the siege information window and select the desired clan in the list
  • Conditions for the participation of mercenaries:
    • Level 40 and up
    • Member of a clan not registered for castle siege/defense
    • Non-clan character
    • If the character's clan is at war with a clan participating in the siege, you cannot become a mercenary of this clan
  • Once an application has been submitted:
    • Character name is changed to '***-number', example: ***-001
    • The character's clan affiliation changes temporarily
    • Clan/alliance/team/private message chat is blocked
    • If a character's clan registers for a siege/defense of a castle, the hiring is automatically cancelled
  • For participating as a mercenary, characters are entitled to a reward in the form of a certain amount from the treasury of the castle
    • The character will only receive a reward if the clan that hired him won the siege
    • The character will only receive a reward if he takes an active part in the siege
    • The reward is sent to the mail after the end of the siege


Siege Rules


  • At the time of server startup, all castles are occupied by NPCs
  • If no one succeeds in capturing the castle from the NPC, the castle is returned to the NPC (HP level of NPC defenders, the gate increases)
  • After the victory of the clan over the castle, it becomes the property of the clan
    • If the clan that owns the castle is disbanded, ownership of the castle again passes to the NPC
  • The castle does not take any damage until the siege begins
  • Attackers and defenders are enemies. Clans in an alliance can play for different sides


Siege Rules


  • During a siege, the castle and the surrounding area become a combat zone, a system message appears when entering the combat zone
  • During the siege, some NPCs in the territories adjacent to the castle cease to perform their functions
  • After the siege begins, all characters that are not defenders of the castle are moved to the city of the castle under siege
  • When the siege begins, all castle gates are closed
  • The siege lasts 1 hour, if the server is restarted during the siege, the siege is extended, the HP level of NPC defenders, gates and others is at the same level as it was before server restart
  • The winner of the siege is the clan whose leader has gained the most possession points by the time the siege ends. Seal of the Ruler on the Sacred Artifact (Giran Castle, Dion) or Sacred Artifacts of Goddard (Goddard Castle). Applying the Seal lasts 15 seconds, you can re-apply the seal after 5 seconds
    • NPC Sacred Artifact of Giran Castle appears in the castle courtyard on a special platform. In order for the NPC Sacred Artifact of Giran to appear, you must first destroy the NPC Shrine of the Castle in the room behind the throne room
    • The Sacred Dion Artifact NPC appears in the castle courtyard on a special platform. In order for NPC Sacred Dion Artifact to spawn, you must first destroy NPC Castle Shrine in the room behind the throne room
    • The Goddard Castle Sacred Artifact NPC spawns in two places: on the left and right wall. To win, it is enough to apply the Seal of the Ruler to one of the two Sacred Artifacts of Goddard. In order for the Goddard Sacred Artifact NPC to spawn, you must first destroy one of the Castle Shrine NPCs in the castle rooms.


PvP rules for sieges


  • At the start of the siege, all registered characters are divided into defenders and attackers. Attacking clans can attack each other and each other's Camps. There is also no siege alliance between defenders
  • In the combat zone, you do not need to hold Ctrl when attacking enemy and neutral characters. You will not get PK status when killing characters in the combat zone
  • Character status may change to attacker if he moves out of the combat zone


Castle Gate


  • When the siege begins, all castle gates are closed
  • Once the siege begins, the castle gates can be attacked. The gate can only be attacked during a siege
  • Castle gates cannot be strengthened, and if the gate was destroyed during the siege, it cannot be restored
  • The gates re-close after capturing the castle (intermediate victory). But their HP does not become full
  • HP of the gate is restored only after the end of the siege


Siege camp


  • After reaching level 3, the Clan Leader gains the Camping skill. The camp is the resurrection point for clan members in the combat zone. Near the Camp, HP and MP recover faster
  • The skill can only be used by the clan leader of the attacking side. You can only set up a Camp in a combat zone. To set up camp, you will need a Crystal: Grade D — 500 pcs
  • The camp has some HP and can be attacked and destroyed by enemy characters. If the Camp is destroyed, the head of the clan can set it up again an unlimited number of times
  • The siege camp allows the dead members of the attacking clan to resurrect near it, it also increases the HP and MP recovery rate of clan members around the camp
  • The camp disappears after the end of the siege


Intermediate victory


  • Changing the owner of a castle before the end of the siege is called an "intermediate victory"
    • After an intermediate victory, the clan that captured the castle becomes the defending one, and all other clans registered for the siege move to the attacking side
    • The camp of the clan that captured the castle disappears
  • After an intermediate victory, the castle gate is closed, 1/2 HP of the gate is restored
  • A clan that loses a castle goes over to the attacking side and can Camp in a combat zone


Victory


  • The clan with the most siege points at the end of the siege becomes the owner of the castle
  • 15/30/40/50/60 minutes after the start of the siege, the clan that owns the castle at the moment can receive possession points

Observation Mode


  • You can observe the siege for free using the City Transmitter Crystal or the "Watch" button in the siege information window
  • In spectator mode
    • You can observe the course of events by moving the character
    • The character is not visible to other characters
    • All functions that may affect the siege process are blocked
  • Unable to use spectator mode if character is dead


The structure and functions of locks


  • Owning the castle, the clan gains control over taxes and political activity in the subordinate territory
  • After victory, special NPCs Giran Castle Victory Herald or Goddard Castle Victory Herald (depending on the castle) appear in castles, from which the head of the clan that captured the castle can receive the item King's Sign of Ur. 1 (5 pieces)
  • After the victory in the castle, a special NPC Herald of Victory of Dion Castle appears, from whom the head of the clan that captured the castle can receive the item Mark of the King Ur. 1 (3 pcs)
  • The NPC disappears immediately after receiving the reward. If you don't talk to the NPC, he will disappear after 10 minutes
  • Marks of the King can be synthesized to obtain a Mark of the King of a higher level. Clan badge can be added to the collection
  • After capturing the castle, the clan can use the warehouse and use teleportation to move between parts of the castle
  • By default, only the Lord of the castle can control the functions of the castle. However, the Lord of the castle can temporarily transfer the rights to use some of the functions of the castle to members of his own clan or other members of the alliance using the delegation rights system in the Clan Management window
  • Taxes are collected at the Castle Chamberlain once a week (Monday 12:00)
  • The clan that captured the castle can improve the characteristics of NPCs, Gates, Walls and Artifacts for adena
  • A clan that captures a castle gains a passive castle mastery skill
    • Goddard Castle Mastery: +1 WIT, +1 DEX, +1 CON, 10% PVE Damage
    • Giran Castle Mastery: +1 STR, +1 INT, +20% EXP and SP
    • Dion Castle Mastery: +1 STR, +1 DEX, +5% PVE Damage
  • The head of the clan that owns the castle can set a tax of 0% to 5% at the Chamberlain of the castle
