1. Payment Information Security
1.1. Expanse Users may add funds to their account balance using the payment methods available at the time of payment, including bank cards, PayPal, cryptocurrency, and other payment methods offered by the Project’s payment partners.
Payments via PayPal and certain other payment methods may be processed manually.
When paying by bank card or through a third-party payment system, the User may be redirected to a secure page of the relevant payment provider or bank, where the information required to complete the transaction must be entered.
Payment data is processed by the payment institutions and processing centers directly involved in handling the relevant transaction.
1.2. Expanse aims to work with payment partners that apply generally accepted payment-industry security standards, including PCI DSS requirements where such requirements apply to the processing of bank card data.
PCI DSS is an international security standard that establishes requirements for the storage, processing, and transmission of payment cardholder data.
When payment is made through an external payment provider, confidential payment information, such as the full bank card number, expiration date, and security code, is processed directly by the relevant payment provider or bank.
Expanse does not request or store Users’ full bank card details unless this is expressly required for a specific payment method and separately disclosed to the User.
1.3. Information entered by the User on the payment pages of our partners is transmitted and processed using the security measures applied by the relevant payment provider.
The processing of payment information may also be governed by the terms of use and privacy policy of the payment service selected by the User.
2. Refund Policy
2.1. Adding funds to an Expanse account balance is voluntary.
Once funds have been successfully credited to the balance, a refund is not issued automatically and is only possible in cases provided for by this Policy, applicable law, or by a separate decision of the Administration.
2.2. In most cases, funds are credited to the User’s account balance automatically within a short period after payment confirmation.
If the payment has been successfully charged but the account balance has not been updated, the User is advised to log in to their account again and check the current balance.
If the funds are still not displayed, the User should contact Expanse Support and provide information sufficient to identify the payment.
2.3. If a paid service or the corresponding balance top-up was not actually provided to the User, the User may contact Expanse Support and request a review of the transaction and a possible refund.
Each such request is reviewed individually, taking into account the payment status, information provided by the payment provider, and whether the relevant service was delivered.
2.4. Where a refund is approved, the funds are generally returned using the same payment method and to the same payment details used for the original transaction.
If a refund to the original payment method is technically impossible, the further refund procedure will be determined by the Administration together with the relevant payment provider.
2.5. A refund request must be submitted no later than five (5) calendar days from the date of the relevant payment, unless a different period is required by applicable law.
2.6. Full or partial use of funds credited to the account balance for the purchase of in-game items, services, virtual currency, or other Expanse features may exclude eligibility for a refund of the corresponding payment unless otherwise required by applicable law.
3. Procedure for Providing and Paying for Paid Services
3.1. Expanse paid services may include adding funds to the User’s account balance, as well as obtaining digital goods, in-game features, or other virtual services associated with such balance and available within the Project.
Adding funds to and using the account balance is carried out exclusively through the official Expanse account dashboard and payment interfaces provided by the Project.
3.2. To add funds to the account balance, the User must:
- go to the Expanse account dashboard;
- log in to their account;
- select an available payment method;
- specify the amount to be added;
- follow the further instructions of the relevant payment system.
3.3. Depending on the User’s region and the technical availability of payment solutions, the following payment methods may be offered:
- Visa bank cards;
- MasterCard bank cards;
- Maestro bank cards;
- cards of other supported payment systems;
- PayPal, including manual processing;
- cryptocurrency;
- other payment methods available through Expanse partners.
The actual list of available payment methods is displayed directly in the account dashboard at the time of payment.
3.4. To add funds using cryptocurrency, the User must select the relevant payment method in the account dashboard and then choose one of the available options provided by Expanse payment partners.
In certain cases, Expanse may also provide the option to make cryptocurrency payments manually (manual mode).
When making a cryptocurrency payment, the User is solely responsible for verifying the selected network, currency, recipient address, and other transaction parameters.
3.5. When paying by bank card, different payment methods may be offered depending on the User’s region.
Card payment processing may take place directly on a secure page of the bank or payment provider. To complete the transaction, the User may be required to provide:
- payment card type;
- card number;
- card expiration date;
- CVC2/CVV2 or another security code, where required by the payment system.
The exact information required is determined by the relevant bank and payment provider.
3.6. If the bank card supports 3D Secure or another additional payment authentication mechanism, the User may be redirected to the card issuer’s page to complete additional authentication.
The procedure for confirming such transactions is determined by the bank that issued the relevant card.
3.7. Unless otherwise expressly stated in the Expanse interface, one (1) unit of in-game balance is equal to one (1) Russian ruble or its equivalent as calculated by the payment system when another currency is used.
The actual amount charged may vary depending on the exchange rate, fees charged by the payment provider, bank, blockchain network, or other third-party services involved in processing the transaction.
3.8. By adding funds to the account balance or purchasing paid Expanse services, the User confirms that they have read and accepted this Information Security and Refund Policy and also agrees to the Expanse Project Rules.
